Mob vandalizes Lagos Governor Sanwo-Olu’s family home on Lagos Island


 A group of people on Wednesday, October 21, gathered around the family home of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Omididun Street, Lagos Island, throwing stones at the house.

 

The attack on the Lagos State Governor's family home came after #EndSARS protesters were shot at at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos.

 

Prior to the shooting, the governor had imposed an impromptu curfew on the state. However, the End SARS protesters refused to leave the protest ground. Subsequently, men arrived and removed the security cameras at the toll gate, then the lights were put off and gunshots were fired at protesters in the darkness.

 

Some people were killed and even more people were injured.

 

In anger, youths took to the Governor's family home.

 

Eyewitnesses told Punch that one of the youths poured petrol on the house but was prevented from setting fire to the house.

 

The eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous, said, "Around 7.45am, angry youths gathered around Sanwo-Olu’s family home on Omididun Street, Lagos Island, throwing stones and shattering glasses.

 

"One of the youths poured petrol on the building but was immediately prevented from setting it ablaze because the fire could spread and lead to loss of lives.

 

Policemen attached to the Adeniji Adele Police Station reportedly raced to the scene after they got wind of the violence.

Lady loses her life after falling into elevator shaft in a hotel in Asaba; Moment she fell caught on CCTV (WATCH)

  A Nigerian lady unfortunately met her demise after she fell into an elevator shaft inside a hotel in Asaba, the capital of Delta state. According to a Facebook user, the lady, identified as Adaobi Enechukwu, who is a native of Adazi Nnukwu had travelled down to Asaba for a wedding ceremony at an hotel and unknown to her, she walked right into the elevator shaft without waiting for the elevator to come to her floor yet. The elevator door, which was not supposed to be opened, was opened and made Adaobi lose her life. Nnamdi Ezewuzie, who shared the incident on his Facebook page, blamed the hotel’s management for lack of proper management. Nigerian couple celebrate birth of their triplets after 15 years of waiting.

 A Nigerian couple, Edegbo Enoch Bobby and Vivian Edogbo welcomed triplets after 15 years of waiting . Mr Edogbo, an architect, took to Facebook on Saturday, July 10, to share their journey from pregnancy, the birth of the children on January 21, 2021, to the thanksgiving and his wife's birthday celebrations held in Lekki, Lagos on Sunday, July 11.  "WORDS FAIL ME....
