Your mother wasted 9months- Actress Joke Jigan slams a follower who called her out after she shared before and now photos

  Actress Joke Jigan has slammed a follower who accused her of not being proud of her dark skin after she shared before and now photos showing the change in her skin colour.   The actress shared two photos of herself to Instagram. In one of the photos, she was looking dark-skinned. In the second photo, her skin had become considerably lighter.   A follower commented, "This is rubbish. You're not proud of your dark skin hmmm secondary slavery (sic)"   And Joke Jigan hit back, writing: "Your mother wasted 9 months of her life because of 200 naira postinor! I weep for her."     Joke also called the follower an idiot while responding to another follower.  

Cristiano Ronaldo finally tests negative for Coronavirus

  Juventus striker, Cristiano Ronaldo has finally tested negative for Coronavirus after three positive tests.    Recall the Portuguese international, 35, first tested positive while on international duty with Portugal on October 13. He returned another positive result last week and was made to take another test earlier this week, which also returned positive.    On Friday, the Serie A side announced that Ronaldo has now tested negative in a statement on their official website.    "Cristiano Ronaldo carried out a check with a diagnostic test (swab) for Covid-19," the statement read.   "The exam provided a negative result. The player has, therefore, recovered after 19 days and is no longer subjected to home isolation."   Ronaldo, who missed the club's previous four matches including Wednesday's Champions League match against Barcelona will now be eligible to return for Sunday's clash against Spezia.

Desmond Elliot turns off the comment section of his Instagram handle

  Desmond Elliot, the lawmaker representing Surulere constituency in the Lagos state house of assembly has turned off the comment section of his Instagram handle.    This is coming after he was called out by Nigerians including his former colleagues in the entertainment industry over his comment about social media during a plenary at the house.    A video of Desmond's statement at the House of Assembly which has now been made public, showed him calling on the speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly to "address certain things" like "the Nigerian youth, the social media, the social influencers."   He added "All of these are making the narratives that we are seeing today. Except we're joking with ourselves. Social media, though good, has its negative impacts."   A look at some of his Instagram post shows she turned off his comments.

  The Lagos State judicial panel of inquiry into brutality and high handedness by the now-disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) unit of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), on Friday October 30, visited the Lekki Toll Gate where the shooting of End SARS protesters took place on Tuesday, October 20.   Led by the Chairman, Retired Justice Doris Okuwobi, the panel questioned the Lekki Tollgate officials about the condition of their cameras and other equipment.   The Managing Director of Lekki Concession Company (LCC), Mr Yomi Omomuwansa while taking the panel round the facilities said most of their equipment was damaged as they were set ablaze by hoodlums following the shooting of EndSARS protesters at the toll gate.   The panel during the visit discovered bullet shells on the floor which were collected as exhibits.

  Desmond Elliot almost broke down in tears on national TV on Thursday night, October 29, while recounting the level of destruction he witnessed after taking a tour of his constituency, last week. Recall that hoodlums hijacked the #EndSARS protest on Wednesday, October 2, and carried out massive destruction, looting and razing businesses and public facilities in different parts of Lagos. In an interview with Arise TV tonight, Elliot who is representing Surulere constituency, got emotional as he shared his experience after meeting with business owners who lost their properties to hoodlums.

  Presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina has stated that the looting of warehouses and shops across the country was caused by #EndSARS protests and not poverty.    Adesina said this while appearing on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme on Thursday October 29. He insisted that attributing the looting to poverty, was like justifying armed robbery as anarchy ensued after policemen were killed and police stations including private and public properties were burnt.    He said;    “Criminality is criminality. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has reacted after the United States rejected her as the consensus candidate for appointment as new Director-General of the World Trade Organization.   Okonjo-Iweala was slated to be the new WTO Director-General.  She had won the support from the vast majority of member states, including the EU, Japan and China.   Desmond Elliot has apologized for addressing the youths as 'Children' while making his submission during plenary at the Lagos state House of Assembly last week.   In a viral video that captured the Surulere lawmaker's submission on the Lagos carnage, he addressed the youths as children and opined that social media was used to fuel the carnage.   Nigerians on social media have been dragging him since for his comment.    In a statement he released on his Twitter handle today, the actor apologized for his choice of words during the deliberation.   lawmaker Olusegun Akande has explained why the carnage in the state occurred in the wake of the #EndSARS protest.    In his submission during a plenary at the state house of assembly, the lawmaker representing Ojo 1 rhetorically asked if celebrities who joined the protest were expecting it to be peaceful when they were feeding people who have no means of eating during the demonstration.    He stated that the ''miscreants'' never wanted the protest to end, because they were getting fed. He added that the celebrities didn't know when to end the protest and move on to dialogue which he described as the "key."
