President Buhari to address Nigerians at 7pm today

 


President Buhari will address Nigerians at about 7pm today October 22.

 

Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, disclosed this in a statement released this afternoon. It reads

''Following detailed briefing by security chiefs on the current situation in the country, President Muhammadu Buhari will make a national broadcast Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 7pm.

Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria respectively for the broadcast.

  Some Nigerian celebrities have lashed out at actor turned politician, Desmond Elliot following his comment about Nigerian celebrities and social media influencers.    Recall that in a viral video which captured the Surulere lawmaker's submission on the Lagos carnage, he asked the celebrities and influencers "to stop the hatred already". He also pointed out that everyone has a means to change government.    However his comments seems not to have gone down well with his former colleagues in the entertainment industry.
